Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to align technical developments with strategic objectives.
- Engage in feasibility assessments and cost/benefit analyses to inform feature prioritization and roadmap creation.
- Lead the technical delivery process, crafting strategies that enhance our existing platform capabilities and ensuring sustainable application architecture.
- Formulate proactive delivery plans that recognize potential risks and address them early in their development.
- Steer teams with a sense of urgency and precision, ensuring timely delivery of quality enhancements; facilitate resolution of roadblocks, negotiate interdependencies, and address resource needs.
- Standardize operations through monitoring of agile delivery metrics; advocate for contemporary delivery practices and adherence to organizational standards.
- Manage resource allocation effectively through backlog prioritization, vendor coordination, and budget oversight.
- Implement quality assurance processes, including testing protocols, to guarantee that developed solutions meet business criteria and perform optimally.
- Identify and manage non-functional requirements, including performance, monitoring, capacity, compliance, and security aspects.
- Compile and deliver updates to leadership regarding project progress and outcomes.
Required Skills
- A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in designing complex systems, including prior team leadership experience.
- Proficiency in various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools such as Jira.
- Understanding of web-specific technologies and processes, including UX design, accessibility, CMS, front-end frameworks (e.g., React), SEO, and analytics.
- Strong command of programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
- Expertise in modern delivery and deployment practices, including CI/CD, quality automation, and test-driven development.
- Experience in developing and deploying applications within cloud environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and decisiveness in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to dissect large projects into manageable milestones and effectively delegate tasks while mentoring team members.
Qualifications
